Senior Specialist, Information Security

Salary:

$88,948 - $104,644 - $120,341 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract:

Permanent

Hours:

37.5 hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location:

Coast Salish Territories: Metro Vancouver: Sinclair office - Hybrid (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA's flex work policy).

About the role



As Senior Specialist, Information Security, you will be responsible for leading and implementing initiatives to ensure that the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) complies with industry regulations and adheres to security best practices. This role serves as the subject matter expert and primary resource in areas such as information security design and architecture, assessments, advisory, contract reviews, education, audit and compliance, and incident management for information security. Additionally, you will work within IMIT and with other FNHA business areas to ensure processes and practices support organizational information security policies and standards.

About you



To be successful in this role you will have -

Education



University degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related discipline, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

Occupational Certification



Certification in a cyber-security discipline (CISSP, CEH, CISA, SANS) is desirable. Active CISSP, SANS GIAC, or Security + certification preferred. CRISC is an asset

Experience



At least 6-8 years of experience of relevant and recent experience in Information Systems and technology in a medium to large-sized organization of a complex diverse nature Experience in direct and operational level information security management, preferably in a health sector and/or IM/IT environment.

Knowledge & Experience



Comprehensive knowledge of information security principles, standards, best practices, and industry trends. Knowledge of adversary tactics and techniques and threat model frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDE Framework, OWASP)

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
