Esplanade Restaurants is looking for our next Sous Chef for our outstanding pub concept, Scotland Yard. . We are looking for an energetic, career-minded individual looking to build their career with a progressive hospitality company. Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Being accountable to key financial metrics relative to kitchen operations (labour, food cost, inventory management)

- Training and development of BOH team members

- Taking ownership of FOH/BOH staff food knowledge and education

- Daily management of food preparation & execution

The qualified candidate will ideally have:

- Food Safe certification

- The ability to work under a high pressure environment

- Minimum 1 year management experience working in a fast paced restaurant or pub

- Passion for food

- Attention to detail

- High proficiency in multi-tasking, organizational and communication skills

Other responsibilities:

- Purchasing and receiving

- Scheduling

- Troubleshooting facility maintenance

Salary:

Competitive - dependent on experience - starting at $40,000
