Responsibilities

You will help us build the backend systems to power both batch/realtime analytics and the scalable data platform that ingests billions of events daily and stores exabytes of data. Deploy new code every day to our tens of millions of users and are constantly innovating to improve our systems.


Our stack:
Linux on Azure. Java and Python services, deployed as docker containers. GraphQL, Dropwizard, Apache Airflow, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric and lots of Azure PaaS. Postgres/CosmosDB/EventHubs/Redis storage and queuing.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR equivalent experience.Experience with containers and container orchestration systems.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check

: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
Experience operating and evolving large-scale distributed systems in a cloud infrastructure. Ability to break down technical problems and solve them systematically. Experience with large scale datawarehouse and datalake (Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, AWS Redshift or Google BigQuery). Experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration system. Test-driven development, integration testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $114,400 - CAD $203,900 per year.
