The Role

As a Software Engineer with Visual Lab and Versaterm, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the existing Visual Labs product. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and functionality of these components. Your expertise in UI/UX design, React, and API implementation will help drive the direction of the product forward.

What You'll Do

Deploy, configure, and maintain the Visual Labs UIs for the various user types. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and enhancements into the existing system Maintain the existing JavaScript code base, making use of best practices in design patterns to ensure maintainability of a large code base. Design and provide guidance for the front-end design of new product offerings. Integrate 3rd party dashboarding libraries for charts, graphs, tables, and maps Ensure that the customer facing portals are mobile friendly Assist in the design and implementation of REST API endpoints and webhooks for seamless integration with other systems Utilize Docker containers and packages for efficient deployment and scaling of applications Implement data security measures, including user authentication and authorization.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field Proven experience in software development and technical support roles 3+ years working with the React framework 1+ year working in the absence of a front-end framework using pure JavaScript and/or JQuery Strong design and CSS skills with minimal direction from UI/UX team Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services: SQL and NoSQL data stores, Long Term Storage, Container Orchestration, Messaging, Infrastructure as Code etc. Knowledge of REST API design and implementation Experience with Docker containers and package management Familiarity with Web Accessibility (a11y) and performance optimization Understanding of design systems or component libraries (e.g., Material, PrimeNG, Tailwind, AG-Grid, etc.) Proficiency in Python and use of a Python REST framework (Flask, Django, etc.) Experience with system internationalization and localization Test strategy creation and implementation

Impress Us With

Proficiency in writing relational database queries Experience with native Android development and Kotlin Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure Knowledge of Kubernetes clusters and horizontal scaling Experience providing direct line support to technical customer issues Familiarity with geospatial data and Map APIs
