The Senior Software Engineer Role

• Passionate Team Collaboration: Join a passionate team focused on AI/ML, engaging in challenging software development projects and next-generation technologies.
• Enhance AI Vision: Contribute to Qlik\'s AI vision by addressing various use cases, including predictive, generative, and classification scenarios.
• Collaborate with Product Design: Work closely with product design teams to deliver critical functionalities that support our evolving AI vision.
• Evaluate New Technologies: Apply your expertise to identify and evaluate new technologies, ensuring the performance, maintainability, and reliability of our machine learning systems.
• Embrace Best Practices: Implement software engineering best practices, from CI/CD and automation to monitoring and security.

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a teammate with:

• A Master\'s or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles, building production-quality software in large-scale data and distributed environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Golang, Java, C++, along with experience in Containerization and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) and Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strength in SQL programming, SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, ElasticSearch), and working with structured data using ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• A passion for staying ahead of the curve with the latest tech developments, including experience with NLP applications and systems, DL and Neural network architectures, and knowledge of foundational models.
• Experience in working with unstructured data sources, including RAG, vector databases, knowledge graphs, grounding, prompt engineering, chain-of-thought, pre-training, and fine-tuning.
• Familiarity with deep learning and neural network architectures.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $130,000 CAD \xe2\x80\x93 $152,000 CAD per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate\xe2\x80\x99s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
