Position Overview
We're searching for a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend/React) to join our Ivans team in a remote work environment. This team creates innovative web applications and web services for the insurance industry. Operating in an Agile environment, you will work with teams that design and maintain software utilizing Typescript and React.

What You'll Do

• Work with the team to design and implement software utilizing object-oriented principles, design patterns, and testing practices
• Design user-based interactions through effective front-end architecture
• Design and implement RESTful services and APIs
• Review code written by peers, focusing on readability and efficiency
• Participate in weekly stand-ups in an Agile environment with both local and remote employees
• Integrate with 3rd party APIs (both REST and SOAP)
• Ensure the entire stack is designed and built for security, speed, and scalability

We're Excited to Learn More About You
Your experience may include:

• 5+ years of experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript, and React
• Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques, and tools
• Extensive knowledge of the React library
• Highly experienced with interacting with backend services
• Proficiency with microservice architecture, event-driven programming, async design
• Git and continuous integration best practices
• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and a head for problem-solving
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, Kanban a plus

You may have other skills or credentials, including:

• Experience working with Python/Django.
• Experience with Elastic Search
• Strong understanding of the Google Cloud Platform

The total anticipated annual compensation range for this newly created position is CA$90K - $140K per year, which includes starting base salary and, where applicable, variable or incentive pay. To determine a new team member's starting pay, we consider a variety of factors, including someone's depth, breadth, and variety of experience, skills, and responsibilities.
This position requires the employee to reside and work from one of the following provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, PEI, or Saskatchewan.
