ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Senior Software Engineer (DevOps), you'll be responsible for:

• Working directly with the engineering team for insight on developer experience and technical challenges in order to create solutions
• Automating infrastructure and development tasks to reliably ship code
• Maintaining and monitoring cloud-based infrastructure
• Improving existing infrastructure to be streamlined and performant
• Conducting performance testing
• Creating application infrastructure like caching & queuing to build the platform
• Assisting with design and implementation of major back-end initiatives
• Working with application development in NodeJS
• Database administration and optimization using PostgreSQL

THE REQUIREMENTS

Expert

• AWS
• IaaS - Terraform, Cloudformation, etc.
• System Monitoring Best Practices

Experienced

• API & microservice development
• Software quality practices: testing, CI/CD, documentation
• Distributed system infrastructure: clustered caching, sharding, NoSQL, queuing, event driven architecture
• Performance testing experience

Nice to Have

• BSc in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript
• Experience with Node.js
• Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) experience
• SOC 2 Audit Experience
• Database administration and optimization experience using PostgreSQL or any SQL/Relational Database language
• Experience with Redis, AMQP, gRPC, and/or NestJS
