Named a Time 100 Most Influential Company and Fast Company Brand That Matters, we achieved a fully profitable year in 2022, becoming the first in our industry to reach this milestone.The Data Engineering team at Lime is responsible for ingesting, transforming and making available timely, high-quality data that powers analytics, bookkeeping and visibility for a wide range of customers.The ideal candidate will have experience working in an evolving startup environment. You will be an in the moment problem solver with the ability to think about the short term and long term plan. You\'re energized about building and scaling and being part of a forward-thinking organization.What you\'ll do:

  • Identify, define, and solve strategically essential technical problems, including architecting and building highly scalable foundational platforms, leading new product initiatives, and revamping existing core application experiences.
  • Mentor and lead other engineers at Lime. Identify and develop future leaders.
  • Enforce controls across pipelines to ensure incredibly high accuracy for all financial transactions (hundreds of millions of dollars).
  • Work in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts across Finance, Operations, Strategy, Data Science and Product.
  • Assist in preparing data-related documentation for SEC filings and due diligence processes
  • Implement data governance policies and ensure data security and compliance
  • Advise Lime\'s leadership team on key technology adoption and process improvements.
  • Contribute to shaping the overall engineering culture at the company.
About you:
  • 5+ years of industry professional software development experience and a track record of building impactful products or systems.
  • Data driven. You have a strong data insight and rely on data to make decisions.
  • Skilled at writing logical and maintainable code, and providing clear feedback in code reviews.
  • Strong understanding of data security and compliance requirements
  • Owner\'s mindset. You\'re a self-starter and get things across the finish line.
  • Technical proficiency to understand and contribute to the design and implementation of projects and ideas.
  • Excellent communication and effective prioritization skills in working with competing priorities.
Preferred experience: * Experience in a pre-IPO or public company environment is a plusThe anticipated salary range for this position is CA$126,000 - CA$174,000. Equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the candidate\'s location of residence, the successful candidate\'s skills, experience and other qualifications.
