Your Opportunity

Our National office is looking for a Senior Software Developer with a profound understanding of both enterprise integration and web application development to join the IT team and own the following responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager, Development Services, the Senior Software Developer is responsible to design and reliable, high-performance, and scalable integration solutions for diverse systems, databases, and applications, both on-premises and in the cloud.

Create and maintain web applications using modern web development technologies and frameworks, ensuring seamless user experiences and functionality.

Participate in all phases of projects including development, design, testing and production deployment.

Work independently and collaborate with technical subject matter experts to develop IT solutions, and resolve issues related to database or application integrity.

Provide subject matter expertise to others within the IT Department and the Firm regarding BDO application architecture.

Interpret business requirements into a functional design that can be proposed to the different practices within the Firm.

Work directly with the business teams, and/or Project Managers to assist in business operational and project related matters.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with key business partners, internal firm functions, and IT stakeholders, ensuring business and technical objectives are met.

Research and initiate innovative application ideas that would be beneficial to the Firm.

Your experience and education

University Degree/Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline

7+ years of experience in multiple programming languages like C#, Python, Java, etc., and experience with integration frameworks and middleware technologies in Azure (e.g., Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, Azure Event Hub, Azure Power Platform, and Power Automate etc.)

7+ years of experience, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, protocols (REST, SOAP, etc.), and data formats (XML, JSON, Parquet, etc.), along with expertise in modern RESTful API development, including design, implementation, and documentation

5+ years of experience with ASP.Net, .Net Core, MVC, C#, SQL, NoSQL

5+ years of experience with modern front-end development technologies including Typescript, React, HTML5 and CSS3

5+ years of experience with agile development practices and associated disciplines such as CI/CD, Git, Kanban board

Strong understanding of security principles and best practices related to integration and web application development

Self-development skills to keep up to date with fast-changing technology trends

Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including IT, various departments and senior leadership

Strong technical documentation skills, time management skills and ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks including capability of working independently, while being a collaborative member of the team

Strong oral and written communication skills

Experience with real-time data streaming and messaging technologies (e.g., Azure Stream Analytics, Apache Kafka, etc.) is an asset

Experience with Workday Web Services and Workday Cloud Platform an asset

Experience with ServiceNow an asset
