Job Description

Our client, a leading medical device company, is looking to hire someone who can bring added value to the team. If you\'re dedicated, energetic and detail-oriented, this could be the perfect role for you. Responsibilities include:

1) Contribute to the development of R&D concepts and product architecture for medical device or components based on customer requirements defined by the Product Management Function

2) Contribute to the development of R&D project plans through the provision of technical expertise on the activities necessary to achieve success

3) Develop and document software design and test plans

4) Design and develop software systems intended for patient care and internal use from top-level product architecture to low-level embedded systems

5) Devise software architectures to solve families of current and future problems

6) Write and maintain the documentation supporting the software development process

7) Write and execute unit tests to evaluate the performance and reliability of software systems

8) Maintain and modify existing software to resolve problems or improve device capabilities and performance

9) Liaise with contract design and development companies on technical matters

10) Review and input on work of other development engineers

11) Coach and mentor other development engineers in technical matters especially related to their domain or area of expertise

12) Collaborate with colleagues in manufacturing and quality to support problem resolution and product compliance, as required

13) Participate and adhere to health and safety initiatives and requirements

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in IT

Compensation and Other Details

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
