Job Title: Senior Software Developer

Join our client's Aircraft division. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain specific modules within applications or systems using both existing and emerging technology platforms. You will be a part of the Engineering Cockpit OSS team design, development, and maintenance.
Responsibilities

• Write and deliver code for features and modules, debug existing code, and provide technical guidance to less experienced developers.
• Follow coding guidelines and practices, ensuring they are adhered to by all team members.
• Develop and validate estimates for technical work to be undertaken.
• Assign and allocate defects to less experienced developers as needed.
• Participate in the analysis of requirements for designing new application and system features.
• Perform maintenance, monitoring, and basic data processing tasks.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience using C++ under Unix/Linux.
• 5+ years in functional analysis, software design, and applications maintenance.
• Full cycle development experience (requirements gathering, design, coding, integration, testing, release, and maintenance).
• Proficiency in scripting with Shell, Perl, Python, and SQL/PostgreSQL.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with MSSQL and Oracle databases.
• Web development skills, including HTML and JavaScript.
• Experience with network service management solutions (such as OpenView, Nagios, SNMP).
• Experience with Operations Service Management Solutions development.
• Professional programming certification in a mainstream programming language.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously.

Work Environment
This is a hybrid role requiring three days in the office per week. The office is located in downtown Montreal on the 24th floor, offering a beautiful view and open concept. The position requires 40 hours of work per week and involves close collaboration with a small, efficient team of six senior developers, including the manager.

This is a Contract position based out of MONTREAL, Quebec.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
