Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Finance and Business Operations (the "Sr. Manager"), the Senior Software Business Analyst/Coordinator provides analysis, advice, design and project coordination services to assist College departments with meeting their software, licensing and maintenance requirements. The incumbent coordinates and supports all College-wide software applications including Enterprise Software Systems, software as a Service , and Cloud Applications. The incumbent also provide analysis for business planning, and budgeting in collaboration with the Sr. Manager.

What You\'ll be Doing

  • Coordinating Information Technology (IT) agreements for software and professional services, including enterprise level agreements. This includes sourcing, contract management, cost analysis and budget planning, purchasing and vendor relations in conjunction with the Senior Manager.
  • Developing and maintaining a schedule for IT contracts and product lifecycles to ensure smooth operations and avoid risk of service interruptions.
  • Leading significant vendor contract negotiations, with a high degree of value to the enterprise, and participates in other negotiations as a subject matter expert.
  • Coordinating with Finance and Accounting departments to ensure smooth business operations, resolve vendor disputes, confirm accurate cost allocations and payment schedules for multi-year expenditures.
  • Administrating enterprise level software agreements with vendors such as Oracle, Microsoft, and Adobe. This includes stakeholder engagement to identify business needs and organizational objectives, contract negotiations and implementation, multi-year budget planning, analysis for licensing and cost optimization and vendor relationship building all in conjunction with the Senior Manager
  • Developing and maintaining an inventory of all software used across the organization in order to support enterprise initiatives such as Application Portfolio Management, Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance, Activities Based Budgeting, Cloud Migration and to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Overseeing license rights and monitoring consumption using technical data from IT systems and enterprise licensing portals for the purpose of license compliance and cost optimization.
  • Develops strategies, standards and best practices for cloud financial management across the organization in conjunction with IT leadership.
  • Conducts real-time monitoring of cloud expenditures across various platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud.

The successful candidate will also possess the following qualifications:
  • Must possess a minimum 3-year diploma/degree in Information Technology, Business or a related field.
  • Must have a minimum of 8-years experience with multi Million Dollar Enterprise Software systems and applications.
  • Must have a proven record of managing a large budget and the ability to reconcile variances, experience with procurement and RFP processes.
  • Must have the ability to provide software solutions on a large scale, in an educational environment.
  • Must have proven leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Must possess an Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundations (ITIL), Associates Certificate in IT Project Management, Information Technology Asset Manager (ITAM) Certificate
