to join our growing technology division. This role is pivotal in installing, servicing, and maintaining advanced electronic security systems for our commercial, residential, and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Configuration:
o Install, program, and service a wide range of security systems including CCTV (IP & analog), access control, intrusion alarms, and intercom systems.
o Configure and test systems such as Axis, Avigilon, ButterflyMX, HID and more.
o Perform low-voltage wiring, network cabling, fiber optic terminations, and power supply setups.
System Servicing & Maintenance:
o Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faulty systems efficiently.
o Conduct regular preventive maintenance to ensure all systems operate optimally.
o Provide on-site support and remote technical assistance for service requests.
Networking & Integration:
o Integrate security systems into client networks following security best practices.
o Configure NVRs, DVRs, VMS platforms.
o Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless video storage, bandwidth, and connectivity performance.
Client Interaction:
o Liaise directly with clients to assess security needs, explain system functions, and train on usage.
o Ensure all installations meet client satisfaction and company quality standards.
o Maintain clear communication on project progress, timelines, and service calls.
Project Management:
o Lead small-to-medium-scale installation projects from start to completion.
o Supervise junior technicians or subcontractors when required.
o Maintain detailed service logs, installation reports, and equipment records.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum 2-
5 years of experience
installing and servicing security and access control systems.
Technical Expertise:
o Strong knowledge of
IP networking
,
low-voltage systems
, and
electronic hardware
.
o Experience with systems such as
Axis, ButterflyMx, HID, etc
.
o Familiarity with
lock hardware
,
electrified door strikes
, and
conduit (EMT) installation
.
Education:
o High School Diploma (required).
o Technical certification or post-secondary education in Electronics, Networking, or Security Systems (preferred).
Certifications:
o Manufacturer certifications (Axis, ButterflyMx, HID, etc.) are assets.
o Security system or electrical license preferred.
Soft Skills:
o Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking.
o Excellent verbal and written communication.
o Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Other Requirements:
o Valid
G-class driver's license
and clean driving record.
o Clean
criminal background check

o Comfortable working at heights and lifting equipment as needed.
o Willingness to participate in
on-call rotations
and
occasional overtime
.
