The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital, as well as one of the world's leading research centres in the area of addiction and mental health. CAMH combines clinical care, research, education, policy development and health promotion to transform the lives of people affected by mental illness and addictions. CAMH's Campbell Family Mental Health Research Institute (CFMHRI) is home to scientists, staff and research trainees conducting research to improve the understanding of the brain and the causes and biomarkers of mental illness as well as making advances in prevention and treatment for mental illness and addictions across the lifespan.
The Tanenbaum Centre for Pharmacogenetics at CAMH is seeking an outstanding full-time, permanent Senior Scientist with internationally recognized expertise in psychiatric and statistical genomics. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in the development and application of computational, statistical, and machine learning approaches to large-scale genetic and multi-omic datasets, and in translating genomic discoveries into biological and clinical insights. Candidates with established expertise in genetic architecture of psychiatric disorders (e.g., eating disorders, PTSD), transcriptomic imputation, and functional genomics are particularly encouraged to apply.
The successful applicant will hold a secondary appointment with the Krembil Centre for Neuroinformatics and will work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment spanning fundamental and clinical research. They will contribute to institutional strengths in computational psychiatry, precision medicine, and translational genomics, and play a leadership role in advancing evidence-based practices that improve mental health outcomes.
