What will be your daily pursuit?:
The Senior Sales Manager, Travel Trade, is part of the Pursuit Sales leadership team and plays a critical role in the success of the sales efforts within the Pursuit Collection. The role is responsible for contributing to the overarching Travel Trade Sales Strategy for Banff/Jasper Collection. As a senior member of the sales team, they manage relationships with our key and strategic priority partners, helping them to grow their business by being a partner of choice. They also support the development and growth of all accounts within their territory or region by working with the rest of the Pursuit Travel Trade team.
As part of Pursuit Sales\xe2\x80\x99 Leadership team, the Senior Sales Manager is actively involved in driving tactics, process and strategy that meet the Global Sales Team goals. All team members are brand ambassadors for all products in the Pursuit Collection.
This is a hybrid role mix of working in the office and from home.
What will you do in this job?:
/ Manage a portfolio of existing key and strategic clients and seek out new business opportunities for Banff, Jasper Collection while maintaining and growing existing accounts.
/ Develop and implement a strategic sales plan designed to exceed annual sales goals
/ In partnership with the leadership team, support sales managers by demonstrating how to use sophisticated sales tactics and language to source business opportunities and become an expert in Pursuit sales processes and systems.
/ Actively manage the budget, participate in monthly and annual forecasting of operational expenditures and contribute to building responsible spending culture.
/ Attend client meetings virtually, locally or abroad as required \xe2\x80\x93 this may involve attending in-office meetings, dinners, tradeshows, and sales/FAM trips.
/ Collaborate with Pursuit Stakeholders and Key Clients to develop new products and expand revenue opportunities based on market feedback.
/ Stay current and report on the overall business climate, including updates on guest and competitive activities.
/ Work closely with the Pursuit Shared Services Team in establishing go-to-market strategies and tactics, including product development, pricing, scheduling, consumer, trade support and overall brand alignment.
/ Administrative duties include but not limited to, completing sales reports, participating in developing sales budget and provide ongoing business forecasts
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
/ At least 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in sales, preferably in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, theme parks or resort environments
/ Experience building relationships and working with teams across all levels of an organization, particularly with senior business leaders, line executives and other high-level professionals, and being able to interact effectively with decision-makers to drive speed and performance within the organization
/ Experience managing a budget and possess the ability to read and analyze sales reports and take appropriate actions.
/ Must be willing to travel and attend various in-person trade events and missions within Canada and internationally as required
/ Experience with B2B sales and/or Tourism Travel Trade experience is required
/ Experience using SalesForce or Delphi platforms, or other CRM systems is required.
/ Knowledge of the tourism industry, including PMOs, DMOs, distribution channels and key global partners, is an asset
