Role Overview:
We are looking for
Senior Sales Director
for one of our portfolio companies, a leading company in plant propagation, based in Langley, BC. you will be responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives, overseeing key customer relationships, and leading a high-performance sales team. You will play a critical role in shaping our market strategy, optimizing revenue growth, and expanding our footprint across the horticultural sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute national sales strategies to drive revenue growth across key verticals including commercial greenhouse operations, nurseries, and retailers.
Lead, mentor, and expand a team of regional sales managers and account executives.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with high-value clients, distributors, and strategic partners.
Identify new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments to support expansion and diversification.
Work closely with operations, production, and marketing teams to align supply capabilities with market demand.
Analyze sales metrics and performance data to optimize pricing, margins, and account performance.
Represent the company at industry trade shows, customer events, and partner meetings.
Report directly to the Executive Leadership Team and contribute to high-level business planning.
Qualifications:
10+ years of progressive experience in B2B sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong background in horticulture, agriculture, or a related industry is highly preferred.
Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar accounts and exceeding revenue targets.
Experience scaling sales teams and implementing modern sales processes and technologies.
Strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and business development expertise.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Willingness to travel if required by the business.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Business Administration, Horticulture, or related field; MBA is a plus.
Deep understanding of the commercial plant propagation market or agricultural supply chains.
Existing network within the greenhouse, nursery, or large-scale farming industries.
