ERM is seeking a Senior Safety Facilitator to play a key role in growing our business in Safety Services. The ideal candidate will bring technical capability and deep understanding of business processes to help our clients proactively address EHS risks and challenges.

As a senior leader, you will be responsible for supporting on a range of Safety and Risk projects to build a sustainable business locally, while networking with ERM\'s global technical team to share best practices. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and facilitate workshops to train client personnel to assess safety culture and provide behavioral safety coaching to have a transformative and lasting effect on our client\xe2\x80\x99s organizational culture.
  • Deliver strategic transformational consulting, training, and coaching to support technically sound sustainable safety services, including compliance programs, safety management, program development and implementation, training, field safety oversight, and safety auditing.
  • Coach leaders to create organizational capacity to deliver a step-change in safety performance through powerful leadership engagement and enhanced capabilities.
  • Contribute to expanding ERM\xe2\x80\x99s Safety and Risk business. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients. Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.
  • Lead, manage performance, hire and retain, inspire and mentor personnel for overall success of technical team.
  • Manage a variety of tasks to achieve scope, budget and schedule targets while ensuring we meet and exceed our clients\' expectations on deliverables
  • Build client relationships and nurture repeat business by continuously striving to build a network within and outside of ERM that will enable you to leverage your skills and solve challenging multi-disciplinary client challenges
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10+ years relevant experience in facilitating high impact training sessions on safety and risk management, leadership/culture, and/or sustainable EHS programs. Passionate about EHS performance improvement and have substantial experience developing and delivering world-class EHS program solutions.
  • 1 year of experience is equivalent to 2 years education.
  • Creative thinker able to transform safety and management system programs to create performance improvements and change in the work environment.
  • Knowledge of the application of human factors to manage safety risks. An interest in applying human factors and organizational psychology principles to solve safety-related problems and to improve human performance in the workplace.
  • Frontline diagnostic capabilities identifying at risk conditions and situations in the field in high hazard industries.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting, with guidance and direction. Ability to be adaptable, deal with ambiguity, and flexible to changing situations, able to think outside the box, and to identify and respond rapidly to safety issues in field locations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Willingness to travel, both within the Canada and to international locations in support of client programs. Up to 50% travel may be required. Must have a valid passport.
  • BSc/MSc degree preferred. Certification in field; CSP, CIH, PE, or similar registration highly desirable.
  • Accident investigation experience, root cause analysis, and facilitation
  • Consulting experience preferred.
  • Excellent aptitude for oral and written communication in both French and English (bilingual) is an asset
