is looking for a Senior Roof Designer for our location in Calgary, AB.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Estimate design and perform layouts and site consultations of complex roof truss systems using Mitek software. Consult with Engineers, Architects, City Building Officials and Contractors on project specifications. Provide technical assistance to customers and the Sales department. Performs site consultations of complex roof truss systems. Coordinate Truss components with regards to receiving the plans, quoting, and designing Truss systems, creating the order, shipping the order and follow up on an individual job basis. Perform other job-related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical College or University program in Architectrual or Civil Engineering program is preferred. Five (5) years of Truss Design experience is required. Experience with Roof design preferably with Mitek and AutoCAD is an asset, Ability to read and interpret blueprints and structural working drawings. Understanding of the building code and construction market. Functional math and computer skills Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, demanding work environment Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented with strong organizational and design skills. Professional, courteous and punctual with a focus on customer service.
