Reasons vary from the desire to develop a real connection to the natural world to wanting to be prepared for a natural or man-made disaster RedHawk as an opening full time position for a Senior Robotic Engineering Requirements for this position: Minimum of 10 + year\xe2\x80\x99s experience The Senior Robotic Engineer position, under direct supervision, is responsible for owning the research and development of materials and additives under our manufacturing requirement processes. Receiving orders, ordering equipment, preparing the equipment, preparing materials, converting 3D models into the printer software Our Senior Robotic Engineer and Senior Material Scientist will be part of a well-established team of professionals and technologists specializing in research and development of high grade strength construction materials QUALIFICATIONS PhD in a physical science or engineering, from a university of recognized standing, or membership in an engineering and scientific professional organization authorized by statute to establish qualification in that organization. 10 years of work experience in conducting research and development in powder bed fusion, green cement, recyclable products, geopolymer, with a good understanding of polymerization, fiberglass, 3d printing process experience (including welding / brazing operations), power silo fabrication and assembly, manufacturing fabrication and assembly Duties- Performance Expectations and Requirements Leads in research and development of high strength construction materials-3d printing Writes technical reports and peer-reviewed publications Presents results of research and development to stakeholders, commercial clients, regulators, and international conferences, Including FEMA, Insurance Burial of Canada, Lloyds of London, Transport Canada, Industry Canada, International Red Cross, CETA. National/International Standard Building Codes Participates in the safe operation of laboratories \xc2\xb7 Sets up and operates additive manufacturing equipment \xc2\xb7 Sets up and operates conventional, special-purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines. \xc2\xb7 Observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance operation, and adjusts machine controls or control media as needed. \xc2\xb7 Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments. \xc2\xb7 Sets up and operates machine to verify accuracy of process. \xc2\xb7 Perform regular machine maintenance, housekeeping of the production cell \xc2\xb7 Maintains the equipment and facility through preventive/predictive maintenance program \xc2\xb7 Evaluate adequacy of procedures for isolating root cause factors for production deficiencies or decreased product quality. \xc2\xb7 Discuss planning and implementation of process and production improvements with co-workers, colleagues, and managers. \xc2\xb7 Converts 3D models using Magics software to printable state \xc2\xb7 Let appropriate people know of deficiency of stock parts, raw materials to order \xc2\xb7 Interpret assembly and schematic drawings to troubleshoot technical problems with finished products. \xc2\xb7 Ability to read, understand, provide feedback, and execute setup instructions \xc2\xb7 Ability to interact with their supervisor to receive work assignments and to troubleshoot equipment and quality problems. Communicate with co-workers to co-ordinate work and to exchange information about procedures and technical problems. \xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently. \xc2\xb7 Ability to use computer-controlled machinery to read diagnostic information. Access technical information and enter production data. Must be proficient with MS Office suite \xc2\xb7 Possess drive and motivation to continuously learn and to maintain a current knowledge of additive equipment technology and safety. Participate in off-site training, for example, taking courses when required Credentials Holds Current Canadian Drivers Licenses, Pass Port and Canadian Citizenship \xc2\xb7 10+ years of experience in manufacturing as a Senior Robotic Engineer a Must for this position 5 + years of experience in Emergency Disaster Preparedness and working in Rebuilding Zones \xc2\xb7 5+ years of training and/or experience in operating manual machining equipment \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of TS 16949 and related procedures. . Knowledge of marine construction- ship design, certifications, inspections, insurance requirements- Lloyds of London- FEMA-approvals, National/International Standard Building Codes, Global warming-Climate change .Knowledgeable with Transport Canada- USA- Global standards and requirements for certifications and approvals Desired Characteristics \xc2\xb7 Able to interact with co-workers to share information on equipment modifications and defects. \xc2\xb7 Able to work independently reviewing production processes and in a team as needed. \xc2\xb7 Maintain current certifications and engage in continuous learning to keep up with new developments in field. \xc2\xb7 Entrepreneurial spirit to for research and development in a state of the art Emergency Preparedness profit manufacturing facility \xc2\xb7 Enthusiastic about the future of the world most strongest additives for manufacturing and global warming-climate change emergency preparedness The 3D Printing and Robotics Engineer is accountable for developing, fabricating, implementing, testing in our controlled laboratory, documenting data, maintaining, supporting and improving control system solutions across the manufacturing facility.
