The role is for 12 months and requires you to perform essential duties 1-3 days per week in your assigned Aviso Office.Reporting to the Senior Manager, Translation Services, the Senior Reviser will be responsible for accurate and quality revision and translation of materials based on industry and brand specifications and established internal processes, policies, and service levels for our French-speaking audience.Who you are:

What your day looks like:
  • Ensure materials for our French-speaking audience are delivered with the highest quality in accordance with industry and brand specifications based on internal processes, policies, and service levels
  • Ensure linguistic quality through our translation vendor channel by providing feedback on outsourced translations, carrying out industry-specific research and providing input on terminology usage to our vendors
  • Proofread work performed by other team members when required
  • Ensure accurate and quality revision/translation of material produced for our French-speaking markets, including brochures, financial commentaries, advertising material, presentations, correspondence, online communications, website material and statements
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes (such as Bill 96), financial market news and world events that may impact the industry to ensure accuracy of translations and terminology usage
  • Identify reputational and other risks in translation requests and escalate when appropriate
  • Maintain consistency of terminology by contributing to an internal terminology database (Multiterm)
Requirements:Your experience and skills:
  • 7+ years of experience as a reviser/translator with 5+ years of experience as a reviser (preferably in financial services or a related industry)
  • Knowledge of financial markets and terminology as well as relevant regulatory requirements; the successful completion of the IFIC and/or the CSC is an asset
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in French and English, including editing, spelling, and grammar
  • Superior time management skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows, Antidote, and translation aids (SDL Trados & Language Weaver)
