WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS:

The Finance Department is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join a seasoned accounting team. The ideal candidate is energetic, hands-on, and a CPA.

Reporting to the Controller in the Calgary office, the Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for revenue accounting including the preparation and analysis of various account reconciliations, maintaining the quality and integrity of key financial systems, and other general accounting duties. The ideal candidate will be passionate about connecting financial details to the big-picture impact of the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Preparation of daily and monthly revenue reconciliations in accordance with IFRS
  • Oversee daily payment reconciliations between various systems (i.e. credit card acquisition platform and reservations system)
Review credit card chargebacks, and where appropriate, dispute chargebacks with merchant processors

Ensure the accurate accounting, reporting, and payment of passenger taxes

Compliance activities, including but not limited to filing monthly GST/HST returns, ATSC filings, Airport Improvement Fee remittance, US DOT and other agency reports, etc.

Any other duties required by the Finance Department

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Commerce / Business
  • Professional designation (CPA/CA)
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work independently and to set up best practices in collaboration with multiple departments and external vendors
  • Attention to detail and ensuring accurate capture and accumulator of information
  • Ability to balance numerous time-sensitive tasks to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Previous airline experience would be considered a strong asset as well as experience with airline reservations system experience (i.e. Radixx/Sabre)
