Position Overview
We're growing an we're looking for a Senior Retail Manager - Beverage Alcohol to lead operations for our liquor retail division, including Westside, Rockhead, and Harvest Beer, Wine & Spirits. Based at Westside. our flagship store and operational hub, you will oversee store performance, lead store managers, and ensure operational excellence across all locations.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll drive sales growth, compliance, and continuous improvement, while building a positive, high-performance culture. Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and mentor store managers at Rockhead and Harvest, ensuring alignment with company goals, values, and performance standards.
Directly manage the Westside store team, serving as the operational lead for the division.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Support recruitment, succession planning, and performance development in partnership with HR.
Champion training and development initiatives to build strong, engaged teams.
Operations & Sales
Oversee operational performance of all three liquor stores, ensuring sales targets, operating budgets, and KPIs are met or exceeded.
Develop and implement strategies for sales growth, cost control, and efficiency improvements.
Ensure consistent visual merchandising, stock management, and brand standard execution across all stores.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with all liquor laws and regulations, including licensing and responsible service.
Oversee workplace safety and lead incident investigations when required.
Strategic Collaboration
Work closely with the Director, Consumer Services and beverage alcohol leadership team to deliver promotions, marketing activations, and community engagement initiatives.

Qualifications & Essential Skills

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for regular travel between store locations in HRM.
Experience
Minimum 7 years in retail leadership, including multi-unit management or large-team oversight. Beverage alcohol or hospitality experience is an asset.
Education
Degree or diploma in Business, Retail Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Working Environment
In-person, dynamic retail environment. Primary base at Westside Beer, Wine & Spirits, with travel across HRM.
