Senior Research Assistants are normally graduate students, or University of Winnipeg undergraduate students, employed to assist in the execution and evaluation of research projects in their area of study. The positions may oversee Research Assistants in areas such as the use of proper techniques, analysis, and documentation.
Senior Research Assistants work under the general supervision or direction of more senior researchers or faculty members, and are expected to exercise judgment in prioritizing, planning and organizing their own work within defined parameters.
Position Overview:
The Senior Research Assistants will be involved in the data collection, data analysis, writing of manuscripts, and other knowledge translation activities. The Senior Research Assistants will receive relevant research training and supervision from Dr. Chi-Chun Lin.
Duties:

  • Assist in the data collection.
  • Assist in the data analysis.
  • Assist in the writing of manuscripts.
  • Assist in the other knowledge translation activities.
  • Participate in the relevant research training.
  • Participate in team meetings, including reporting work and receiving supervision.
Qualifications:
  • Be registered as a full-time or part-time graduate student in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
  • Be majoring in a mental health field.
  • Be interested in research on senior immigrants.
  • Be able to communicate via email.
  • Be able to meet via Zoom.
  • Be able to use Microsoft Word.
  • Be able to travel for the data collection.
Condition(s) of Employment:
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
The period of work will be from October 1, 2025 - March 30, 2027, and the estimated total hours of work will be 0-624 hours.
