Summary



The Senior Reliability Engineer at Westpower will play a key role in helping sites improve equipment reliability and lower the total cost of ownership for their rotating equipment and overall site.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced leader for our reliability engineering and technician team. This person will leverage their experience and expertise to mentor our reliability engineering team, oversee the technical aspects of projects and reports, execute jobs of higher complexity, and lead strategic initiatives to develop new products and services as outlined in our growth strategy.

Education, Skills and Experience



Mechanical Engineering Degree, or other related field. Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation, registered with APEGA. Our intention is the successful candidate grows into a responsible engineer role. Proven experience in reliability engineering, rotating equipment troubleshooting, and the related tools and methods. Strong background in industrial equipment and systems. We are looking for someone who can contribute specific knowledge in a domain such as pumps, compressors, blowers, turbines, and engines. Experience in a field environment required. Experience in client-facing roles is advantageous. Track record of successful new product or service development. Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able and willing to travel to select locations to conduct field investigations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities



Responsible for performing field investigations and vibration studies at customer's work sites. This includes the technical scope, contractual, and safety specifications as determined in the scope. Oversee and review engineering reports to ensure accuracy, compliance, and high-quality standards. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and findings. Communicate with clients to understand their needs and develop job scope based on a sounds technical understanding of the needs. Effectively communicate results and recommendations. Lead strategic initiatives to develop new products and services as prioritized in our growth plan. Mentor our team through job execution. Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Assist the business development team as a technical specialist in reviewing client needs, demonstrating our capabilities, and helping develop opportunities. Provide internal and external training as required. Provide technical assistance to customers as required. Compilation of quotes and estimates for field service jobs and projects. All other job duties as required.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
