Annual salary: $ 127,900.00 - 161,800.00


What you'll do





BC Hydro has a large, complex portfolio of buildings across the province of British Columbia. We have an exciting


opportunity in our Properties' business unit for a strategic, collaborative professional to join our team as the Senior


Relationship Manager, Workspace Management.




Reporting to the Manager, Workspace & Office Services, the Senior Relationship Manager is a senior level resource with


deep experience and subject matter expertise to manage complex workspace requirements and organizational requests,


ensuring that BC Hydro's workspace needs are met effectively as they evolve over time.




You'll engage with senior leaders and work collaboratively with colleagues in Properties (in areas such as Asset Planning


and Project Delivery) to develop and manage workplace strategies, initiatives and projects that meet the organization's


needs.




In this role you will:




Guide engagement with senior/executive leaders to understand and plan for the evolving workspace requirements of
various business units.




Develop and manage strategic workplace and facility plans that meet BC Hydro's organizational requirements (including
occupancy plans for key facilities, such as corporate head offices and regional facilities).




Strategically plan and implement new workspace initiatives, standards, and processes. Provide senior workspace
expertise in the development and implementation of workspace strategies related to BC Hydro's flexible workplace program


and policies.




Develop long-term plans within a portfolio of workspace projects across the province.


Prioritize, plan, lead, and deliver complex workspace projects associated with interior renovations & upgrades, new builds,
leased facilities, and decommissioning initiatives.




Provide change management leadership to ensure organizational alignment and success in the delivery of workspace
initiatives.




Mentor Workspace colleagues (Relationship Managers, Project Coordinators). In addition, lead and oversee the work of
external workplace consultants and suppliers.




Work collaboratively with colleagues and contractors on facility plans, project plans, business cases, and delivery of
projects.




Update/implement/maintain technical workspace design & furniture standards in alignment with BC Hydro's policies. (e.g.
flexible work program, sourcing of Canadian furniture products)



Lead initiatives to gather occupant feedback and continually improve subsequent workspace initiatives, standards, and
projects as required.




Research and remain current on workplace industry trends; maintain peer networks, conduct market and peer sounding
as needed. Incorporate industry best practices into BC Hydro's workspace processes.

What you bring




Bachelors' level degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Project Management Professional
(PMP) designation with the Project Management Institute (PMI) is considered an asset.




A minimum of 10 years of related senior level experience in two or more of the following areas: corporate workspace
planning/interior design, project management, change management, and/or corporate communications.




Preference will be given to individuals who possess 8+ years of experience strategically planning, developing, and
managing complex workspace projects and issues within a large organization, and/or projects associated with commercial


renovation and/or new build projects.




Demonstrated, senior-level experience managing cross-functional project teams for interior design construction projects
including interior designers, contractors, electricians, furniture suppliers, interior design managers, and engineers.




Advanced proficiency in the following:


knowledge and understanding of the importance in building and maintaining relationships and networks inside and outside
of BC Hydro


negotiation and persuasive influence, strategic and tactical planning project management principles and practices analysis and critical thinking, creativity, and innovation in problem-solving


Exceptional communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, including business case writing, briefing notes, and
proposals. Must possess an ability to communicate through all levels of the organization, including demonstrated


experience working with senior and executive leaders.




Ability to act as a change agent within the organization and influence how workspace issues are prioritized and managed
within the company.




Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


An exceptional ability to inspire and drive results through others.

What else you should know




This is a P4 Full-Time Regular (FTR) opportunity on the team based at our Dunsmuir location in Vancouver.


A valid class 5 driver's license is highly beneficial and preferred, but not required.


This position will require occasional travel to various locations across the province - typically not exceeding a few times
per year.




Please note this role is classified as a Hybrid role under the flexible work model, which currently includes a mix of working
from home and working in the office. At present, this role is expected to work in the office a minimum of two days per week


however at times it could be more frequent due to operational requirements and does require flexibility.
