Senior Rebuild Technician / Journeyman Carpenter

Grande Prairie, AB, CA, Canada

Job Description

Build It Back Better -- Literally.

Are you the person people call when everything hits the fan?
Do you take pride in craftsmanship that makes homeowners say "WOW"?
Does the smell of fresh lumber bring you joy?

If so... this might be your next favourite job.

We're looking for a

Senior Rebuild Technician / Journeyman Carpenter

to join our Restoration & Rebuild team--someone who's equal parts skilled tradesperson, site leader, problem-solver, and all-around rebuild wizard.

When disaster strikes (burst pipes, fires, chaotic reno jobs gone wrong... you name it),

you

are the hero who brings homes and businesses back to life.

What You'll Do (AKA Why You'll Never Be Bored)

Lead the Rebuild Work

Frame it, fix it, finish it--if it's carpentry, you've got it covered. Complete structural repairs, install windows/doors, build cabinetry, and create jaw-dropping finishes. Read and interpret drawings like the pro you are.

Own the Job Site

Mentor junior techs, keep things moving, and ensure work is top-quality. Work closely with the Project Manager to plan materials, equipment, and timelines. Communicate confidently with clients--they'll trust you immediately.

Support the Restoration Side

When emergencies hit, you help stabilize, demo, and transition sites to rebuild. Work through moisture inspections, drying setups, and site prep.

Safety First. Always.

Maintain a safe and clean job site. Complete documentation like a champ. Operate tools and equipment responsibly.

What You Bring

You're not new to this--you're true to this.

3rd or 4th year Carpenter Apprentice

OR

Journeyman Carpenter (Red Seal preferred). 3+ years in carpentry or construction, ideally in rebuild/restoration. Strong knowledge of codes, structural repair, and building best practices. Leadership skills--you enjoy teaching and guiding others. Customer service and communication skills that set you apart. Able to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, crawlspaces, and whatever the Canadian weather throws at you. Clean driving record and valid license. IICRC certifications? Even better!

The Work Environment

Let's be real: it's not always glamorous. But it is rewarding.

Job sites vary: damaged structures, tight spaces, all kinds of weather. On-call rotation and occasional emergency response. Work boots, tool belts, good music, and a stellar team.

Ready to Build Something Better?

If you're ready for meaningful work, solid teammates, and projects where your skills truly matter, we want to hear from you.
