We are seeking a Senior Real Estate Accountant to manage a portfolio of income-producing assets. In this role, you'll take ownership of full-cycle accounting for a diverse portfolio of income-producing assets, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency at every step. From rental billing and operating cost recovery to forecasting and audits, you'll play a critical part in delivering financial clarity and supporting growth. RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of real estate assets.
Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals for revenue, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including revenue and expense variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
Coordinate and prepare annual budgets and full-year estimates in collaboration with internal teams.
Prepare year-end CAM and tax invoices and working papers for external audits.
Set up and maintain Yardi final recovery module for timely tenant billing.
Review Yardi tenant abstracts for accuracy and approve monthly rent rolls.
Assist with acquisition and disposition processes, including due diligence.
Support training initiatives as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of experience in full-cycle real estate accounting, including final recoveries, audits, forecasting, budgeting, and lease interpretation.
Accounting degree or diploma required; professional designation (CPA) an asset.
Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas).
Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a flexible, solution-oriented approach.
Yardi Voyager 7S experience is an asset.
Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
