This position involves participation in the quality assurance process of multiple SaaS-based analytical applications in HTML5 frameworks with SOA-based data architecture using an Agile Scrum process.

Responsibilities

• Work within an Agile Scrum team meeting with developers and product managers determining the quality assurance parameters, acceptance criteria, and verifying quality ahead of CI/CD deployments
• Work with automation frameworks (Selenium and Postman) to ensure tests are incorporated into reusable automated tests - and coverage across API and Integration level as well as some UI level
• Plan, design, and execute performance tests using JMeter to assess application responsiveness, stability, and scalability under different load conditions.
• Implement best practices for test automation, including modularity, reusability, and maintainability.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards within the automation team.
• Responding to requests from Product Managers and Developers
• Mentor and train junior QA team members
• Troubleshoot quality issues and modify test procedures

Qualifications

Desired Skills & Expertise:

• Proven experience (8+ years) in software quality assurance, test automation, and performance testing.
• Hands-on in UI automation using open source libraries like Selenium, Playwright etc.
• Strong experience in API automation - Postman experience preferred
• Hands-on experience with performance testing using JMeter, including test script creation, execution, and result analysis
• Analyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks, performance issues, and potential optimizations.
• Work closely with development teams to provide recommendations for performance improvements based on test results.
• Proficiency with Python and JavaScript (good to have knowledge of Robot Testing Framework)
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Financial Experience Preferred (Retail Banking a big plus)

This is a hybrid position, with the ideal candidate located near our regional hub of Toronto and is able to travel to an office as needed for working sessions or team meetings.
