Overview

Are you a registered psychologist with expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological aspects of physical conditions? Do you have a thorough understanding of psychological reactions to workplace injury and trauma? We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for qualified psychologists to join our dynamic Mental Health Services department and work with teams specialized in trauma, serious injuries, high-risk situations, brain injury, occupational disease, chronic pain, and difficult work relations.

How you\xe2\x80\x99ll make a difference: As part of our interdisciplinary case-management teams, you\xe2\x80\x99ll focus on helping injured workers in their recovery, rehabilitation, and safe return to work.

Where you\xe2\x80\x99ll work

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operation needs of the position.

In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally onsite at your local area office.

We offer a flexible Monday-to-Friday work week, a full- or part-time schedule, and a choice of work location in either Richmond or Kelowna.

What you\'ll do

• Engage in collaborative, proactive, individual case consultations
• Conduct file reviews and write clinical opinions
• Plan and monitor assessment and treatment services
• Participate in team meetings
• Offer educational presentations to staff to promote an understanding of psychology and the concepts and practices of case management
• Liaise with healthcare providers
• Provide supervision to psychologists engaged in the registration process for the College of Psychologists of British Columbia

• Provide expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological reactions to workplace injury and trauma
• Solve problems in an interdisciplinary, case-management setting
• Establish rapport and build trust with clients, colleagues, and others in a clinically complex and diverse environment
• Present your expert knowledge, opinions, and ideas to a variety of individuals and groups (verbally and in writing)

Your background and experience

• A graduate degree in clinical psychology, neuropsychology, or counseling psychology and current registration with the College of Psychologists of BC or eligibility for an expedient registration with College of Psychologists of BC
• A minimum of three years of relevant work experience as a psychologist, preferably in disability management, workers\xe2\x80\x99 compensation, insurance, medical-legal setting, or healthcare in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Experience providing direct psychological/neuropsychological assessment and treatment services
• Training and experience in conducting psychological assessments and/or treatment in an institutional context

• Confirm you\xe2\x80\x99re legally entitled to work in Canada

Salary: $61.84 - $79.93/hourly
