Aspire is a Winnipeg-based real estate investment and house-flipping company. We buy distressed properties, renovate them to a high standard, and bring them back to market. Our properties range in value from 400k to 1.3 million. The next stage of growth is building a repeatable, efficient "renovation machine" that can consistently hit strong profit margins while protecting quality and reputation.
This is a senior, hands-on Project Manager role. Your main mission is to deliver multiple projects on time, on budget, and to Aspire's quality standard. You use (and help improve) Aspire's systems, but your primary focus is execution in the field: trades, schedules, scopes, and sites.
Key Responsibilities
Run 3-6 renovation projects at a time, depending on scope and complexity.
For each project, create a clear scope of work, budget, and timeline in collaboration with the owner.
Schedule and coordinate trades and in-house crew; ensure the right people are on site in the right order.
Track progress against schedule weekly; unblock issues quickly to prevent delays.
Keep tight control of labour and material spending; look for smart ways to save without hurting quality.
Maintain clean, safe, organized job sites that trades respect working on.
Communicate clearly with the owner on progress, risks, and decisions required.
Do final walkthroughs and punch lists to ensure the house is "show ready" before hitting the market.
Requirements
5-10+ years of experience managing residential renovation projects (not just working on the tools).
Proven track record delivering projects on time and on budget.
Strong understanding of trade scopes (framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, flooring, etc.).
Able to read and work from drawings, permits, and engineer reports where needed.
Confident with basic project management tools (spreadsheets, Gantt charts, construction software).
Strong communication and leadership skills with trades and site staff.
What Success Looks Like
Houses are turned over faster, with fewer delays and surprises.
Budgets are respected and efficiency on every job is optimal - no more "mystery overruns" at the end of jobs.
Trades know exactly what's expected and are held to those expectations.
The owner spends less time putting out fires and more time on acquisitions and strategy.
Growth Path
If there's a strong fit, this role can grow into a Head of Construction / Director of Operations with an option to share in the profitability of the company!
