BC Financial Services Authority is the province's regulator for the financial services sector to help protect British Columbians during some of the most important financial decisions of their lives. As a Crown agency of the Government of British Columbia, BCFSA oversees credit unions, trust companies, insurance companies, pension plans, mortgage services, real estate services, real estate development and money services. BCFSA also administers the Credit Union Deposit Insurance Corporation of British Columbia ("CUDIC"). BCFSA has a mandate to instill confidence in the financial services sector by focusing on the safety and soundness of regulated entities and consumer protection.
BCFSA reports to the Minister of Finance and is governed by a Board of Directors. BCFSA is self-funded by the financial service entities it regulates, meaning there is no cost to the taxpayer.
BCFSA is seeking one (1) qualified and experienced Senior Project Manager to support a technology transformation project involving a case management application implementation. The Senior Project Manager will ensure the work is completed on time, within budget and in scope. The successful Resource will be required to work full-time for the term of the Contract. The Resource may be assigned to other projects based on relative prioritization or resourcing requirements at BCFSA.
Preference is given to those Project Managers that live in and around the Vancouver metropolitan area.

Experience Required/Mandatory Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business, or equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and training.
Project Management Certification from an industry recognized accreditation body.
A minimum of seven (7) years experience as a Project Manager leading complex projects with a budget of at least $1 million involving multiple delivery components, multiple workstreams and business stakeholders.
A minimum of five (5) years experience as Project Manager leading technology implementation projects.
Ability to managing complex relationships where different parties have a piece of the critical path and different levels of investment in the timelines and outcomes. This can include internal and internal stakeholders and third-party vendors.
Experience writing business cases or briefing materials, develops RFPs and estimates to support decision-making.
Ability leading multi-disciplinary teams in business transformation initiatives and business process design activities to align business systems with new business processes and systems.
Experience with Agile-Waterfall Hybrid methodologies and applying them to project management practices.
Preference may be given to candidates located in the Metro Vancouver or adjacent regions
