In the role of Senior Project Manager in our Highway Design Group, we'll count on you to:
Support and help lead the growth of our highway and road design group
Lead, plan, direct and monitor all aspects of large multidiscipline projects with high degree of technical complexity, typically in excess of $5 million and involving a large project staff
Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently
Establish client relations and support marketing efforts, including leading pursuits
Lead schematic, design development and contract document preparation in conjunction with Project Managers, engineers, and other technical professionals across all applicable disciplines
Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project development to meet milestone deadlines
Manage the financial success of projects in conjunction with the Project staff, Project Accountant, Accounting Manager, and Department Manager
Implement QA/QC procedures
Support and execute training for personnel
Supervise staff, as assigned, and support the growth and development of highway engineers, EITs, and designers
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years' experience in project management including management of MTO detail design assignments
Extensive knowledge of Ministry of Transportation design practices and requirements, including application of design standards, CDED, and preparing contracts
Eligible to be qualified in MTO RAQS under Detail Design - High Complexity
Strong communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills
Experience with alternate delivery models on owner and delivery sides.
PMP Certification
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microstation, and Bentley InRoads / OpenRoads
Experience with municipal projects and utility coordination
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
10 years related experience
A minimum 5 years project management experience
Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus)
Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
