What is the opportunity?




Our Project Management Office is currently hiring a Senior Project Manager. In this exciting role you will plan, direct and coordinate activities of assigned projects to ensure project goals or objectives are accomplished within approved timeframe, scope and budget.

What will you do?



Plan, direct and coordinate activities of assigned project(s) to ensure project objectives are accomplished within approved timeframe, scope and budget in accordance with RBC's standard Project Management Framework Clearly understand the project objectives and deliverables, establish scope and exit criteria, resolving a ambiguity, identify roles & responsibilities, and carefully monitor and control scope, cost, schedule utilizing Change Management as required Engage all necessary stakeholders to successfully complete the project and ensure all artefacts in the project lifecycle are completed Establish detailed project plan, collaborate with the team, and resolving ambiguity Actively identifies and seeks resolution to project issues and risks, managing and escalating as required, resolving ambiguity Provide clear and concise project status reporting to steering committees, Project Management Office (PMO) & Senior Management on a regular basis and manage project communications (e.g., communication plan, presentations to steering committees, management of documents) Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners/ sponsors, internal and external partners Coach & mentor project managers/business analysts within the team as part of ongoing talent development and change management/transformation Manage day-to-day relationship with vendor - requirements, integration timelines, issue escalation, sign-offs and SLA adherence. Coordinate with data and BSA resources for query validation, data lineage and remediation activities. Overseeing project processes and procedures; monitoring the productivity and performance of project team. Managing all aspects of projects. Setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of project. Ensuring adherence to project schedules and completion of project goals.

What do you need to succeed?



Must-have



Experience leading a variety of projects involving large cross-functional teams, across multiple disciplines and lines of business Has successfully managed multiple projects simultaneously Strong AML knowledge preferably FINTRAC reporting experience Coaching/development/leadership experience Experience leading projects with $1MM+ budgets 3-5 years of previous experience managing large/complex projects

Nice-to-have



Some Scrum Master/Agile & Waterfall experience Some experience managing projects with technical development, regulatory, privacy aspect and/or third party vendors Organizational Change Management experience Infrastructure project experience
