Position Senior Project Manager (Software Delivery)
Location: Toronto / Hybrid (1 day/week on-site)
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager (Software Delivery) to lead complex technology initiatives focused on software delivery, modernization, and digital transformation. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing end-to-end software delivery lifecycles, driving API integrations, overseeing containerization efforts, and guiding teams through a successful migration from Waterfall to Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead large-scale software delivery projects across the full lifecycle-from planning and design to execution, testing, and deployment.
- Oversee the delivery of modern software solutions, including cloud-native applications, APIs, and containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Drive Agile transformation initiatives, coaching teams transitioning from traditional Waterfall approaches.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-engineering, QA, DevOps, product, and business stakeholders-to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risks, ensuring transparency through clear communication and reporting.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Implement and promote delivery best practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and team performance.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience managing complex IT or software delivery projects.
- Proven success in leading Agile and hybrid delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and containerization.
- Experience leading modernization or migration initiatives (e.g., Waterfall to Agile, on-prem to cloud).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus):
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and cloud-native architecture.
- PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certifications.
- Background in financial services or enterprise-scale IT programs is an asset.
