About the Role



The

Senior Project Manager (SPM)

is a senior leadership role responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of construction projects, with a strong emphasis on

civil works, earthworks, and concrete supply operations

. This role is accountable for project execution excellence -- from pre-construction planning through mobilization, construction, close-out, and financial performance.


The Senior Project Manager operates as the primary owner of project outcomes, leading multidisciplinary teams, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, managing risk, controlling costs, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role also plays a key part in advancing standardized project management practices aligned with Des Nedhe Constructors' group-wide operating model.


Key Responsibilities



Project Leadership & Delivery



Lead and manage construction projects from award through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets are met. Oversee civil construction, earthworks, and concrete supply activities, ensuring coordination across self-perform and subcontracted work. Develop and execute detailed project execution plans, construction methodologies, and mobilization strategies. Act as the primary point of contact with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.

Planning, Scheduling & Controls



Direct project planning activities, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), work packages, and sequencing. Collaborate with project controls teams to develop, maintain, and monitor construction schedules. Review daily, weekly, and monthly project performance metrics, including Labour, Equipment, and Materials (LEM). Identify variances, risks, and emerging issues, and implement corrective action plans proactively.

Financial & Commercial Management



Maintain full accountability for project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls. Manage contract administration, including change management, scope adjustments, and claims. Review and approve project expenditures, invoices, and progress billings. Protect Accurate Industries' commercial interests through disciplined contract and financial management.

Health, Safety, Quality & Compliance



Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements. Ensure all regulatory, client, and internal inspections are completed and documented. Oversee quality control processes and resolution of deficiencies. Ensure compliance with employment standards, payroll legislation, and labour requirements.

Team Leadership & Development



Lead, coach, and mentor Project Managers, Construction Managers, Superintendents, and project team members. Provide clear direction, accountability, and performance feedback. Foster collaboration across field teams, office staff, and shared services within Des Nedhe Constructors. Promote continuous improvement and operational discipline across project teams.

Stakeholder & Executive Communication



Prepare and deliver clear, concise project reporting to senior leadership and executive stakeholders. Represent Accurate Industries professionally in client meetings and executive-level discussions. Escalate risks, deviations, and decisions as required, with clear recommendations and mitigation plans.

Qualifications & Experience



15+ years

of progressive experience in construction project management. Strong background in

civil construction, earthworks, and concrete supply

(required). Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred. PMP or equivalent project management designation considered an asset. Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Strong understanding of construction scheduling, planning, and cost control principles. Experience with construction management and project controls software (e.g., InEight, or similar). Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and project reporting tools. Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
