Position Overview:




Compugen is seeking a Senior Project Manager for an initial 1 year contract working remotely. Candidates must currently reside within Canada and be available to work CT.



Key Responsibilities:




Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle--including initiation, design, development, implementation, and operational startup--ensuring timely delivery within agreed scope, budget, and performance standards. Identify and define project challenges; establish procedures for developing and implementing new or revised project components, and secure necessary approvals. Clearly articulate project objectives; determine budget requirements, define team structure, roles, responsibilities, and develop terms of reference. Provide regular progress updates throughout the project lifecycle, including scheduled reporting milestones. Engage with stakeholders and fellow project managers to collaboratively address and resolve project-related issues. Create visual aids such as plans, charts, tables, and diagrams to support problem analysis and communication; utilize a range of project management tools. Ensure timely completion of all deliverables and milestones in alignment with the project plan. Manage change requests efficiently through the established change management process. Develop and maintain baseline project schedules and work breakdown structures. Generate detailed reports and proactively identify scheduling conflicts or dependency risks. Perform critical path analysis to support effective project planning and execution. Coordinate scheduling efforts with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment. Facilitate formal project closure and sign-off upon successful completion.

Skills & Qualifications:




Over 10 years of experience leading enterprise-level projects that drive corporate and cultural transformation. 5+ years of experience managing large-scale vendor delivery during project execution. Proven track record of overseeing full project lifecycles, including complex data migration and integration of legacy systems. PMP-certified, with strong expertise in project planning, execution, and delivery. Skilled in navigating and resolving complex project issues and risks. Proficient in managing project financials and executing structured change management processes. Experienced in developing business cases and tracking benefit realization. Collaborative experience with Organizational Change Management teams to implement enterprise-wide changes. Demonstrated ability in team leadership, negotiation of deliverables, and timeline management. Adept at translating team insights into actionable and efficient project delivery plans. Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with a focus on minimizing delivery risks and resolving issues. Capable of working through complex challenges to achieve successful outcomes. Flexible and adaptable to corporate delivery methodologies and processes. Experienced in developing project charters in collaboration with key stakeholders. Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent project streams. Extensive experience managing complex, multi-stream projects with interdependent vendor relationships. Familiarity with COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) solutions is an asset. Proficient in Microsoft Project Online. Solid understanding of both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies. Industry experience in auto insurance (Property & Casualty), licensing, and financial services is an asset. Knowledge of Manitoba government entities is an asset.
