Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Federal Government client.
Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop and maintain the project plan for each project. (Including
documentation of scope, goals, schedule and project tasks);
Ensure tasks are delivered on-time;
Manage project resources and the delivery of tasks related to the project
schedule(s);
Hold regular project meetings. Publish meeting agendas, maintain action
items lists, risk and issues logs, briefing notes when required, decision records
and weekly updates to all management;
Assist in the development of performance indicators to measure and report on
the project(s) against the established project plan(s);
Manage budgets and reporting on budgets;
Create reports as required for management and senior management on the
progress of the transition(s);
Work with IT to define the appropriate test plans, UAT plans,
deployment plans and communication plans; and
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, internal or
external.
Minimum Qualifications
The following describes the minimum qualifications to perform work:
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a minimum of seven
years of experience in IT Project Management;
Experience analyzing business issues and providing recommendations to
management;
Experience writing clear and concise reports and briefing materials with a
strong attention to detail;
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications including
advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project skills;
Ability to perform well under pressure, work on multiple projects
simultaneously, adapt to change, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced
environment;
Ability to understand clients' needs;
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to clearly
communicate concepts and results to non-technical and business audiences;
Ability to prioritize and plan work;
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment;
and
Ability to lead and manage resources.
