Adecco is currently hiring a Senior Project Manager, to work for our client, a reputable telecommunications company in Regina, SK. This role is accountable for providing leadership, direction and project management expertise to enable the effective implementation of high-priority and complex projects, that require significant resources, and is accountable for taking the project from initiation through final implementation. * Pay rate: depending on experience

Duties and Responsibilities: * Accountable for all aspects of the project over the entire project life, including procurement, vendor relations, distributors, and end-user expectations. Responsible for communicating status to executives and sponsors, as well as financial reporting.
  • Supports an effective, proactive cross-functional project team that may consist of both management & non-management individuals in an environment that encourages innovation, teamwork, initiative & open communication; promotes and models corporate values.
  • Maintains a high level of competency in project management-related disciplines.
  • Accountable for providing project management leadership to the corporate project management community through coaching, guiding, mentoring, facilitating and educating via multiple channels in various formats.
  • Effectively communicates to all levels of stakeholders of projects using an appropriate method of communication in a timely manner. Ensures a common understanding by setting expectations following the project plan in order to align the stakeholders and team members.
  • Leads, directs and manages Project Manager staff. Provides leadership to develop and encourage high performance in a positive team environment. Assesses the performance of project managers using tools such as PFEs for formal feedback, setting individual employee objectives and establishing training/ development plans.
  • Leads, directs, and manages staff to ensure the effective use of HR resources. Developing, mentoring, and sustaining a high level of expertise among staff. Organize and direct work, including prioritizing assignments, establishing objectives, providing regular performance feedback, conducting year-end performance appraisals and taking necessary corrective action as may be required. Assists in staff career planning, establishes development and succession plans, and ensures relevant HR procedures and policies are followed (collective agreement provisions, performance appraisals, discipline, grievance, etc
  • Promotes a productive and positive environment for staff that encourages innovation, teamwork, and initiative and models corporate values. Motivates staff by assigning challenging work, planning and managing internal communications and awareness of corporate direction, mission, plans and activities.
  • Ensures all safety, health, environmental and code of conduct policies, programs and standards are always understood and complied with.
  • Proactively identifies and actions opportunities to increase customer satisfaction (internal and external customers).
Requirements and Qualifications: * Post-secondary education at the University or Technical Institute level in one of the following: Computer Science/Business Administration/ Engineering
  • 8 years of experience in project management leadership or equivalent. Demonstrated success in delivering large and complex projects with budget constraints, timelines and resources
  • 5 years of project procurement and vendor management experience. Typically, 3 years managing third-party partners (e.g. consultants, system integrators)
  • PMI Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is required
  • Extensive knowledge of project management standards, methodologies and related practices. E.g Project Management Institute\xe2\x80\x99s (PMI) PMBOK, PRINCE2 and Prosci Change Management
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with all levels of the company to achieve results
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey information clearly, concisely and logically.
  • Consistently demonstrates PM leadership in the PM process improvement, coaching & mentoring, and improved educational & technical competency.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of commitment to the effective implementation of the Partnership for Excellence process and the ability to lead, inspire and motivate individuals within the team.
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
