This project will deliver a world class, state of the art Esports Arena and Production Hub where students and the community at large will be able to develop their talents and boost entrepreneurialism in the creative arts ecosystem.Bow Valley College\xe2\x80\x99s Digital Entertainment Nexus Project teams include PMO (Plan), Campus Services (Build), ITS (Equip) and Sustainment (Run).Key Criteria:This position requires extensive experience managing people, programs and portfolios, and organizational change. Applies expertise and best practices in strategic planning to develop and execute impactful programs.Deliver and successfully implement high-profile initiative according to best practice methodologies and the project lifecycle developed by the PMO.

  • The Project Management Office is responsible for the successful execution of Enterprise delivered projects in line with best practices and to meet our client\xe2\x80\x99s business objectives.
  • Our clients include our students, staff and faculty, government, community, and strategic partnership organizations.
  • The project planning, vendor relationship management, budget management, strategic partner relationship management, risk management, and key metrics / milestones reporting stewardship will be directed by this role.
This role will be part of the leadership team that builds a hub that will inject world class talent into our city and attract global business focused on the creative arts industries.This opportunity carries senior level accountabilities in Project Management, Business Analysis, Organizational Change Management, and Team Support & Planning. This role will be part of the leadership team that builds upon vision and growth for the College opportunity to build a world-class facility where students and the community at large would be able to develop their talents and boost entrepreneurialism in the creative arts ecosystem.Required qualifications:
  • Diploma \xe2\x80\x93 Ideally in an IT related field, with preference for a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree
  • Minimum 7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a Senior Project Manager,4 years as a Senior Business Analyst, and at least 4 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with change management (OCM) in projects as a discipline
  • Proven experience of managing senior level projects at a corporate level.
  • Facilitating Steering Committee meetings - senior level stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of risk management and mitigating risks for high profile projects.
  • Leading and directing teams to understand decisions required and impacts arising from decisions.
  • Managing technical teams, business teams and senior stakeholders towards project goals/benefits/outcomes.
  • Budget Management - Digital Entertainment Nexus full program budget.
  • Relationship management with strategic partnerships.
  • Reporting stewardship for key metrics / milestones.
  • Extensive business analysis skills.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • If your education was received internationally, we will require you provide an international education assessment through IQAS, WES, or one of the other nationally designated organizations upon hire
This opening is for a long-term year temporary (exempt) position, with an expected conclusion in June, 2029.
