Clark Builders is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Project Manager, Concrete & Formwork to join our team in Edmonton! In this high-impact role, you'll lead every stage of our self-performed concrete projects, from the initial vision to the finish line. Reporting to: Manager, Self-Perform Operations
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supporting business development activities by maintaining long lasting relationships with clients, the design community, engineers, and other organizations which enhance future self performed concrete opportunities
Working with the Estimating and Project Development teams to secure self performed concrete work
Overseeing the preconstruction phase and providing leadership to project teams, ensuring execution on the construction and turnover of self performed concrete work
Develop and/or promote and advance the latest industry technologies, systems, processes, and innovations to ensure Clark Builders maintains its position as an industry leader in construction
Build diverse, high performing teams, through coaching, training and development opportunities and creating opportunities for new and challenging experiences
Leading and working with project teams to:
develop project specific safety and quality plans
set profit and productivity goals
evaluate and select formwork systems
complete the material, subcontractor, and equipment procurement
assemble the appropriate field crew and field supervision team
works with senior operations leaders to hold project teams accountable for meeting the minimum productivity, profit, safety, quality, and schedule goals

Successfully leading operational improvement initiatives related to self performed concrete
Develop standards and maintain records for all self performed concrete: start-up and closeout documentation, productivity data collection, information sharing
Performance management of staff and direct reports; set personal and team goals/strategies in alignment with annual Key Result Areas (KRAs)
Liaison with Turner Constructions Self-Perform Concrete peer group across North America monthly
Skills & Knowledge:
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-storey, institutional and commercial self-perform concrete projects with a variety of formwork systems
Proven leadership skills, with a strong focus on mentoring and motivating
Demonstrated ability to manage key relationships, including clients, business partners, government agencies, and subtrades
Ability to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal and external challenges or obstacles
Sound understanding of risk management related to self performed concrete work
Knowledge of Human Resources policies, practices, and procedures
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
Outstanding listening and communication skills are essential
Questions conventional approaches, explores alternatives and provides innovative solutions
Qualifications:
A post-secondary degree or diploma in construction or engineering.
Minimum of 15 years in construction with at least 10 years managing progressively larger and more complex self performed concrete projects.
Estimating experience in self performed concrete
On site Project Coordination, or Project Management experience
Previous experience working on a remote or logistical challenging project
Experience with Last Plannerxc2xae System an asset
Experience with Procorexc2xae Construction Management Software an asset
Ability to travel on a regular basis throughout Alberta, BC and NWT
