Overview:
We are hiring a Senior Project Manager for our Calgary-based commercial construction client. This individual will lead and support projects across the Calgary region and is responsible for the successful execution and delivery of projects, ensuring safety, budget control, timely completion, and the highest quality standards.
What you will be doing:
Lead and ensure operational standards and processes are executed efficiently and consistently across all project phases
Deliver exceptional client service and build strong relationships that deliver long-term value
Develop and implement strategies to meet project performance goals and client satisfaction metrics
Foster innovation and continuous improvement by promoting a Lean culture and providing training and development opportunities to team members
Oversee all aspects of project startup including Prime Contract finalization, execution planning, resource and staffing plans, and procurement
Collaborate with Estimating and Business Development teams to identify and secure new project opportunities
Lead all aspects of financial strategy and project budget management
Manage and enforce Safety, Quality Control, and Communications plans
Develop and maintain project schedules, track productivity and performance
Chair meetings, issue minutes, and ensure follow-up on action items
Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain open communication throughout the project lifecycle
Oversee project close-out activities including training, inspections, turnover, and warranty
Support business development by nurturing long-term relationships with clients, design professionals, and industry partners
Mentor, coach, and develop project team members to ensure individual and organizational growth and success

Strong risk management skills aligned with project objectives
Ability to lead initiatives in construction technology and innovation
Commitment to a team-focused, respectful, and results-driven culture
Bachelor's degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in a construction-related field
10+ years' experience as a Project Manager overseeing commercial or institutional construction projects
Proven experience managing projects from startup to close-out across a range of sizes and complexities
Familiarity with a variety of construction contract types
Understanding of Lean principles, collaborative planning, and continuous improvement practices
Experience with the Last Planner System is an asset
Experience using Procore Construction Management Software is an asset
Salary/Rate Range: $130,000.00 - $175,000.00
