We're currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing team and lead construction projects across the T???ch? communities of Behchok??, Whati, Gameti and Wekweeti.

About the Role





As the Senior Project Manager, you'll report directly to the Director of Technical Services and lead the planning, organization, and execution of a variety of construction projects. From managing site superintendents and subcontractors to overseeing budgets, schedules, and compliance, you'll be central to every stage of project delivery -- ensuring quality, safety, and community satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities




Direct and coordinate commercial and residential construction activities. Oversee all phases of project execution -- design, procurement, scheduling, estimating, cost control, and close-out. Supervise site superintendents and subcontractors to ensure timely, on-budget delivery. Monitor job sites for safety compliance, quality assurance, and efficiency. Collaborate with the Director of Construction and project teams to track performance and maintain controls. Interpret blueprints, enforce building codes, and ensure adherence to all territorial and federal regulations. Prepare estimates, respond to tenders/RFPs, and manage contracts and invoicing. Build strong relationships with clients, architects, inspectors, and community partners.



What You Bring




A Journeyperson Carpentry ticket and/or Technologist certification. A minimum of 5 years' experience in Project Management or Senior Project Management roles -- ideally in the North. Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary construction projects. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team coordination skills. Excellent knowledge of construction codes, safety standards, budgeting, and scheduling. Proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft Project, and project accounting tools. Willingness and ability to travel to remote communities regularly. Cultural awareness and sensitivity to the northern environment and Indigenous communities.
