Your Opportunity:

Clinical Project Support Services (CPSS) provides project management support to various clinical and non-clinical projects at provincial, zonal and local levels. Reporting to the Director, CPSS, the Senior Project Manager leads project management activities on AHS clinical and non-clinical projects. The Senior PM role requires specialized and advanced expertise, knowledge, and skill. \xe2\x80\xa2 Applies CPSS project management tools and practices and produces project management plans, schedules and other required project outputs \xe2\x80\xa2 Builds business area knowledge with clients, and monitors project performance to ensure success. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develops strategic relationships with multidisciplinary teams to effectively engage internal and external stakeholders, works closely with clinicians and manages client expectations regarding project management support. \xe2\x80\xa2 Applies change management processes, integrates these into project plans, and effectively manages change activities in projects. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provides consultative project management support; ability to assess and provide meaningful consultation on short timelines. \xe2\x80\xa2 Lead CPSS quality assurance reviews of peer-supported projects and project management outputs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Involved in creation and production of project management education activities for an AHS audience.

Description:

PleaCPSS provides project management services and expertise to manage AHS clinical projects and deliver innovative solutions that address health and business needs. CPSS services are primarily directed at supporting provincial, zone, and operational level projects and priorities. These projects are complex, involve advanced and technical subject matter, span multiple AHS departments, and often involve external stakeholders and dependencies with other provincial projects. The Senior Project Manager (Senior PM) is responsible for and provides leadership to project management activities across all stages of a project, often including pre-project activities and spanning project initiation, planning and execution, implementation, evaluation and closure. The Senior PM applies project management methodology and expertise, effectively facilitates diverse groups addressing complex issues, and skillfully engages stakeholders to develop effective and efficient solutions and health services. The Senior PM applies knowledge management practices and expertise to effectively manage project knowledge, and contribute to organizational learning. The Senior PM must possess the skills to use data and information to effectively advance quality and innovation. The Senior PM is committed to quality improvement and appropriately applies change management and process improvement principles, knowledge and expertise. The Senior PM works with a high degree of independence on assigned projects and in the delivery of other CPSS services, with guidance in only the most complex situations. The Senior PM works within a team-based and matrix resourcing environment and may supervise staff or lead functional teams or projects. Required Qualifications:

A Master\'s or research-based degree in a health-related field Relevant project management specific education, training, or certification in project management from an accredited institution 5 years of progressive experience in project management, including knowledge of project management principles, tools and methodologies
Additional Required Qualifications:

5 years experience in project management, Considerable experience with coordinating/leading teams through project planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a unique project environment where project resources and subject matter experts have limited availability to contribute; demonstrated ability to move projects forward within these constraints Experience working directly with clinicians; comfortable communicating with physicians, other health care professionals and executives Experience leading project teams and large projects within a healthcare organization Demonstrated skill in verbal and written communication Experience with MS Office suite, including MS Project and Visio, and MS SharePoint Motivated and adaptable team player Proven ability to foster relationships and partnerships with complex and varied internal and external individuals and groups Ability to work independently, prioritize and meet deadlines Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Strong facilitation and mediation skills Demonstrated application of systems thinking, and change management
Preferred Qualifications:

Professional designation in project management Experience designing and delivering education to adult learners Training in process improvement and health services planning is an asset 3 years of experience working in a healthcare organization of significant size, complexity and diversity
