The Challenge!

Reporting to the Director, Operational Efficiency of Cascades Containerboard Packaging, the Project Leader, Lean / Continuous Improvement will have the mandate to support the implementation of business strategies and good practices of lean management. The Project Leader, Lean/Continuous Improvement plays an essential role in the continuous improvement of our processes, the integration of our units and the optimization of our results.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the deployment and evolution of the Lean Production System (structure of daily meetings, workshops and development of dashboards, among others); . Develop KPI's, support their implementation and monitor them; . Support continuous improvement in the group's units; . Evaluate and suggest solutions to reduce production costs; . Analyze production data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement (MES/Manufacturing Execution System); . Define and improve end-to-end operational processes (mapping and deployment) . Coordinate and support efforts to implement and monitor standard operating practices and manufacturing procedures; . Ensure the use of project management practices for the implementation of complex solutions . Contribute to the documentation and the transfer of knowledge of best practices within the group

• Have a great sense of planning and organization;

• Demonstrate leadership, be a facilitator and an excellent communicator;
• Be a good advisor

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, operations, or any related field;
• 5 to 8 years of experience in the field of continuous improvement and quality in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluent in both english & french
• Hold a Black Belt or Green Belt certification; (An asset!)
• Experience in the paper industry (An asset)

Please note: The candidate will be required to travel frequently to the various factories in North America
