Do you want to be a part of driving the transition?Our Engineering Department in St. John's is now looking for a Project Engineer.The Project Engineer directs and coordinates the activities of engineering disciplines for a defined scope, acting as the schedule and budget holder. The position is responsible for the success of assigned major projects through the entire project life cycle for offshore oil and gas facilities.What will you be doing?

• Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures for projects.
• Champion and promote the importance of environmental, health safety, and quality management.
• Support project controls, including change management, procurement, contract management, cost control, productivity, scheduling, and risk management.
• Ensuring projects adhere to contract requirements and all documentation is appropriately maintained.
• Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, personnel performance and initiating the necessary mitigations to address potential threats and timely solutions.
• Liaise with operations and corporate functions as required to ensure alignment and support for projects.
• Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing their best interests.
• Organization of client kickoffs and interface discussions to clarify issues and advance closure.
• Identifying and developing new opportunities with clients.
• Managing customer satisfaction and identifying improvements where necessary.
• Conducting post-project evaluation to identify lessons for future improvements.
• Drive a safety culture for all projects.

What we think you should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Current registrations with PEGNL as a P.Eng.
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in an engineering or construction environment.
• The ability to work within multi-discipline projects, prioritize critical issues and react positively to changing client priorities.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient understanding of the management of change (MOC) processes and interfacing between crucial internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
• Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.
