Our client is a recognized leader in engineering, manufacturing, and construction in the energy industry around the world. Senior Project Engineer will control and coordinate project resources and be a liaison between the Project Manager and the assigned multi-discipline Project Team. The Project Engineer ensures that all project deliverables comply within the requirements of the project and align with the parameters outlined in the Project Plan. The Project Engineer can also oversee and manage small to medium size projects.

Responsibilities:

li
Coordinating the activities of engineering and design groups assigned to project team
/li

li
Ensuring engineering is done with accuracy and to high standards and managing projects to meet client specifications, deadlines and budget
/li

li
Ensuring equipment operates efficiently, is designed in accordance with the company and client specifications, will be delivered on time and within budget
/li

li
Coordinate and oversee various disciplines involved in project (ensure their awareness of all ongoing work). Disciplines can include: design drafting, piping, instrumentation, electrical, control systems, mechanical & process engineering, as well as production
/li

li
Equipment design (vessels, towers, exchangers, rotating equipment, etc)
/li

li
Requisition of major equipment (specification of buyout equipment, issuing of RFQ\'s, quote comparison, vendor selection)
/li

li
Review client specifications; note and confirm exceptions and pass onto project team in a timely fashion (design group, fabrication shop, instrumentation & valving, controls and electrical)
/li

li
Ensure design information is adequately controlled and provide to the project team as required. Coordination of drawings and purchasing to ensure work gets to shop in time
/li

Successful candidates will have:

Proficient knowledge of industry best practices

Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Teams
/li

li
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
/li

li
5+ years experience in Project Engineering
/li

li
B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent technology degree
/li

li
Registered and in good standing with APEGA
/li
