--we are seeking a proven, high-performing Senior Project Engineer or Senior Engineering Technologist to help us continue building toward this vision.

In this senior role, you will work on diverse and challenging projects while mentoring junior team members and helping to guide Journey's continued success.
Key Responsibilities
Successfully plan and execute medium and large size projects that meet all engineering quality, project budget and project schedule constraints.
Cultivate client trust by understanding client objectives and expectations, openly communicating, and providing regular progress updates.
Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and solutions.
Independently perform various process and mechanical calculations, reports, data analysis, and other technical tasks.
Collaborate with teams to ensure project milestones are met on time, progress is documented, and action items are managed to completion.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of and stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Assist in proposal preparation and Business Development activities.
Requirements
Understanding of relevant engineering and project management principles and practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead a small team.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills to effectively run multiple small projects simultaneously.
Education/Experience
Undergraduate Degree in
Mechanical
or
Chemical
Engineering from an accredited University/College.
15+ years of directly relevant experience.
Registered as a Professional Member (P.Eng.) with APEGA.
Demonstrated cross-discipline experience (project engineering/management, process, mechanical).
Extensive knowledge of and familiarity with applicable codes/standards published by ASME, CSA, API, etc.
Familiarity with regulatory permitting processes and regulations in Alberta, British Columbia and/or Saskatchewan.
Possess a valid Alberta Driver's license with Clean Driver's Abstract.
