Job Title: Senior Program Manager - Healthcare Systems
Location: Toronto, ON, Canada (Hybrid - up to 5 days onsite)
Duration: 12 Months Contract (Possibly Extension)
Background
We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead and oversee a portfolio of healthcare digital transformation projects under the Patients Before Paperwork (Pb4P) initiative.
This multi-year program focuses on modernizing clinical workflows, reducing administrative burden, and improving digital connectivity across healthcare providers by replacing traditional paper and fax-based processes with secure digital solutions.
The successful candidate will manage projects related to the OLIS-MORE and eOrdering portfolio, ensuring successful delivery, system adoption, and stakeholder alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage a portfolio of healthcare technology projects
Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of programs
Manage risks, issues, scope, timelines, and budgets
Coordinate cross-functional and matrix teams
Engage clinical sites and business stakeholders
Ensure successful onboarding and system deployments
Develop project status reports and dashboards
Facilitate end-user training and change management activities
Monitor project documentation repositories
Ensure go-live readiness and post-implementation support
Lead knowledge transfer and documentation handover
Must-Have Skills & Experience
8-10+ years of experience managing electronic health-related projects
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks
Experience deploying clinical software systems
Demonstrated experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
Knowledge of lab workflows, patient admissions, and health records systems
Proven stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Experience working in matrix organizational environments
Excellent time management and prioritization skills

Desired Skills & Qualifications
PMP or equivalent project management certification

Undergraduate degree in Health, IT, Engineering, Business, or related field
Knowledge of Ontario Laboratories Information System (OLIS)
Experience with healthcare system implementations
Strong relationship management and facilitation skills
Change management and workflow redesign experience
Working knowledge of privacy and accessibility legislation (HPPA, FIPPA, PHIPA, AODA)
