Purdys Chocolatier is looking for a Senior Production Planner to join us at our chocolate factory in Vancouver, BC!
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Senior Production Planner establishes the schedule with which the production department executes.
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead planning process for area of responsibility and ensures cross-functional consensus is reached on operation demand plans and inventory plans required to support customer service, and revenue objectives
  • Monitoring Raw Material and Semi-Finished Material Availability and Planning Processes
  • Balances demand with capacity for dependent and independent items
  • Maintaining and reporting on Key Performance Indicators on Planning adherence and execution, WIP monitoring, Work Center Utilization and master data accuracy (planning related)
  • Ensuring close collaboration with Supply Chain related departments to prioritize and communicate on supply planning manufacturing issues (demand vs supply planning gaps, backorder issues, unplanned events like demand reductions/increases)
  • Champion continuous process improvement within the planning function
Candidates should possess the following:
  • 3 - 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Experience in the Food Manufacturing or Pharmaceutical industry would be an asset
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Power BI, ERP system and WMS
  • Strong leadership in problem solving
  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree, post graduate diploma, or Master's Degree in Engineering or Logistic/Transportation, Science, Business or equivalent
  • Certification in ASCM (CPIM and/or CSCP)
