Senior Product Manager, Personal Loans

Job Description


The Sr. Product Manager will be the authority on the personal lending market space and create product roadmaps to address market problems and opportunities. The Sr. Product Manager \xe2\x80\x93 working closely with the Business Units\xe2\x80\x99 executives and their teams - will define the strategy and user experience of a Product Portfolio under a Product Line. Working closely with the Product Owner, the Sr. Product Manager will develop and communicate the product vision and requirements, while also overseeing technology builds and deployments. The Sr. Product Manager works at the strategic level and provides product guidance to the Product Owner and the organization at large.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Creates and maintains strategic product portfolio and product roadmaps
  • Works closely with Business stakeholders and Executives to assess and deliver products and solutions that meet market needs and business objectives
  • Designs the customer\xe2\x80\x99s experience of the product as well as its value proposition
  • Works with Product Owners to ensure vision is well captured in development user stories
  • Interfaces with other parts of Fairstone to make sure product is ready for launch (training, comms, legal, compliance, risk, analytics, etc.)
  • Self-starter, who loves working thinking, brainstorming through to executing
  • Multi-tasking, working on several product enhancements which are often unrelated to one-another, simultaneously
  • Follow the discipline and rigor of the Fairstone Product Development governance framework
Qualifications:
  • University or College degree in technology, design or business-related fields
  • Demonstrated experience as a product manager with 3-5 years experience (and/or considerable industry expertise)
  • Experience in financial services, and more specifically lending products
  • Some technical knowledge \xe2\x80\x93 especially in digital interfaces and experiences
  • Highly customer-focused, centering the portfolio around customer needs
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Excellent at managing conflicting priorities
  • Ability to lead through influence
  • Excellent communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 both verbal and written
  • Banking experience an asset
  • Bilingualism an asset
